Here are a few questions to answer before watching my video for your new week. If you can grab a pen and paper and jot down your responses that would be helpful. It's not so much about just reading the questions and watching the video. It's more about inner reflection, which matters. That is why we feature Beryl on our blog.
We try to remind our customers of just how beautiful and full of potential they are all the time esp. because when you are working with someone on their look/ image/ wardrobe... that is intimate space you are being allowed into. You get to hear and learn so much more about a client: a living, breathing human being and we believe in leaving you in a better place, if we can.
It was never just about making money in this business. It was always about impacting lives and adding more positive energy to how people viewed themselves. So if you're going to read the article and watch the video (thank you by the way. The last piece from Beryl gained over 1000 "reads" in just that first week. So we decided to keep the good vibes going) you may as well do so in a way that may be somewhat useful to you.

This week we are talking about Letting Go For Success:

  1. What are you holding on to that may be a weight rather than a key to your next stepping stone in 2016? Yes, we picked 2016 because this year is only halfway through... you still have room to grow and become more. Also because sometimes looking at the end goal (your/ our life/ lives summed up) has a tendency to scare us into thinking you can't possibly attain or achieve all you want to. So let's start small and focus on this present year you are still in and can make marvelous or keep in the marvelous zone. So again: What are you holding on to that may be a weight rather than a key to your next stepping stone in 2016?

  2. Is it necessary to hold on to it?
  3. What else would you like to achieve in this year? (Celebrate all victories, yet allow yourself to room to continue growing. You are a living thing, it is natural to grow)
  4. Are you going to be able to get there carrying the extra weight you have on your shoulders?
  5. Is there another way to perhaps look at the situation/ extra weight? (Is the glass half full or half empty?)
  6. Is that weight going to amount to anything positive coming about?
  7. What do you define as positive?
  8. Would it be better to set it down and choose a lighter journey? How else can you look at the situation and why you are holding on to what you are carrying in regards to emotions/ baggage?
  9. Will you allow yourself room to start forgiving them and also yourself?Just a few questions we felt tied in with this latest video from Beryl & Her Freedom From The Rut school of thought that we are subscribed to and in love with. Forgiveness of others and even ourselves is something many of us secretly struggle with. Letting go is a part of forgiveness which is healthier in the long run.  There is a whole article from Johns Hopkins Medicine and other credited organizations detailing just why forgiveness and letting go can be beneficial for your health. One thing we all need to remember is we make mistakes. Others make mistakes too. There needs to be a way to move forward positively after those mistakes (or repeated offences) happen.
Sometimes we are the biggest hindrance to our own growth & prosperity. Other times it is how we move on from what we have experienced. Choose to be light. Life is a journey. There is no need to carry extra luggage as you go through this journey. This was the thought we wanted to share as this new week kicks in because every week is a chance and opportunity for you to plug into your life and create the advancements and outcomes you desire.
That said, here are Beryl's thoughts on "5 Things You Need to Let Go Of" while working on your path to success.

Emily is Co-Founder and current CEO of Love's Hangover Creations. It's always important for Emily to explain how she connected with each LHOTeam member and so that is what this space will be used for. Beryl & Emily connected in first grade at Aga Khan Primary School in Parklands located in Nairobi, Kenya. They have two sets of siblings, who are older than them, and both sets were in the same school, and in the same year. Their siblings walked them up to each other on their first day of first grade to introduce them to each other. The rest is history.
